Working in partnership to help National Grid deliver its vital energy services

We are pleased to confirm that United Living Infrastructure Services subsidiary, Fastflow, have entered into contract with National Grid as part of its National AGI Renovation Campaign (NARC).

National Grid is one of the world’s largest publicly listed utilities focused on transmission and distribution of electricity and gas. They play a vital role in connecting millions of people to the energy they use safely, reliably and efficiently.

Working with a variety of stakeholders they also promote the development and implementation of sustainable, innovative and affordable energy solutions. This is what makes our partnership created between United Living & National Grid, so exciting – helping to construct and deliver key infrastructure services across the UK. Whether overhauling critical gas assets or working on major clean water networks, we have a proven track record of consistently and safely delivering the quality, quantity and range of services our customers expect.

The large-scale design and build project include the upgrade of mechanical & civils assets on the National Transmission System at 15 sites across Scotland. The detailed design phase is currently underway with physical construction work due to start in June 2021.

NARC is one of the 11 major asset health campaigns currently in progress over the Gas National Transmission System. At a total spend of £55 million, is one of National Grid’s biggest engineering projects.

Benn Cottrell, Managing Director at United Living Infrastructure Services, said: “This is our fourth NARC award with National Grid, following on from successful works in previous years in Scotland, West Midlands & Kings Lynn. We are all proud to continue our working relationship with National Grid and to renovate and improve their infrastructure.”

The delivery team for the project will operate out of United Living Infrastructure Services (Fastflow Pipeline Services) existing office facilities at Hamilton – making use of local supply chains wherever possible. The Pre-fabrication works will be carried out at our (Fastflow Energy Services) Head Office at Golborne.
