£9 million contract secured to deliver a key residential & commercial scheme in South London
We are pleased to confirm that United Living Group has landed another residential & commercial scheme in London. This follows recent work to build over 200 new homes, retail & commercial space, and a new public library at our £65 million Wandsworth Exchange project.
In the latest deal, we have been appointed by Peabody, one of London’s oldest and largest housing associations to deliver a £9 million scheme, creating 29 new homes and commercial space on Sydenham Road in London Borough Lewisham.
The project will see United Living Group transform what was originally used as a buildings yard, with a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom properties and 155sqm commercial space created on the site. The new homes will be a mixture of affordable (shared ownership, or affordable rent) & outright sale.
Construction is scheduled to commence on 29 March 2021, with a completion date of August 2022.
Nick Tijou, Operations Director at United Living New Homes South – Home Counties, said: “This contract is an exciting addition to United Living Group’s growing portfolio of development projects and adds to our already extensive presence in the greater London region.
“United Living Group’s own values are to ensure we help our customers create great places where people enjoy living and provide the essential services that supports daily life. So, we were delighted when asked to support the delivery of this development project on behalf of Peabody.
“We look forward to playing a central role in the regeneration of this area of Lewisham, and creating much-needed new homes & commercial space for local residents”.
