London Fire Brigade trainees visit Hatfield & Gerrard fire safety project
Fire safety trainees from the London Fire Brigade have visited our Hatfield & Gerrard project in Lewisham to view the new fire safety measures that are now in place.
The visit provided the new fire safety inspecting officers with a close look at the installation of the new cladding across three blocks and a new automatic opening vent (AOV) system, sprinkler systems, new windows, doors, fire stopping and structural works.
Tom Weal, Project Manager at United Living Property Services and Charles Brown, Lewisham Homes Fire Risk Manager, led the tour and provided information on how the systems were installed, how they work, and the broader safety improvements across the site.
Tom said: “It was a real pleasure highlighting all of the fire safety works we have carried out at Hatfield & Gerrard to the new members of the London Fire Brigade. We recently fitted a detailed example of the new cladding system at Shoreditch Fire Station, and providing an in-depth site tour forms a perfect extension to this by showing the full installation and how it operates.”
On this project, United Living Property Services are working in close partnership with Lewisham Homes, Michael Dyson Associates, Novo Facades, 4i Solutions and the London Fire Brigade.
