Donation made to Peak Coffee Academy in Lewisham to support their work helping young people into employment

At United Living Group, we are committed to delivering social value as part of all our projects and support community projects and organisations, regularly donating goods, materials and time to help protect some of the most vulnerable in the communities we operate.

In keeping with that ethos, a donation of £1750 has been made to Peak Coffee Academy by United Living Property Services (ULPS) to support new community initiatives in Lewisham.

The academy is an educational coffee shop that provides training, mentoring and employment opportunities for young people.

Peak Coffee Academy attended a Lewisham Changemakers Pitch Night last year, an event that allows local social enterprises to highlight their work and appeal for funding and support. Following a successful pitch, ULPS has been working closely with them to secure training workshops for local students and provide support in boosting their long-term enterprise vision.

Sharon Douglas, Community Development Officer, said: “At United Living Group, we pride ourselves on leaving a positive legacy in the local communities where we work. Therefore, we are delighted to be helping Peak Coffee Academy provide support for young people in Lewisham.

“As the last 12 months have made clearer than ever, education plays a critical role in the lives of young people and their families. Training and mentoring are of particular importance, and the great work being undertaken by Peak Coffee Academy will no doubt have a widespread positive impact in the local community”.
