Works progressing well on NHS key workers project at St Peter’s Hospital

Construction work is well underway at our multi-million-pound development creating new homes for NHS workers at St Peter’s Hospital in Surrey.

Despite the challenges that COVID-19 has presented, our fantastic site team have made excellent progress, with the development growing rapidly above ground.

On behalf of housing provider Optivo, construction work started early this year. It will boost housing capacity for NHS key workers by providing 147 high-quality apartments at the site in Chertsey.

The key worker accommodation scheme is being delivered over two phases. The first phase will provide a blend of 75 stunning apartments of one, two and four bedrooms across six three-storey blocks.

The second phase will see the existing accommodation demolished and replaced with a further 72 high-quality apartments of one, two and four bedrooms.

Nick Tijou, Regional Managing Director, United Living New Homes, said: “We’re proud to be working in partnership with Optivo to deliver modern, comfortable and high-quality facilities the NHS workers and medical students deserve for the tremendous job they do for their community”.

Bunmi Atta, Director of Construction, Optivo, added: “We’re excited to be delivering much needed affordable homes for our key workers.

We’re really looking forward to providing our amazing NHS staff with comfortable accommodation in a well-designed and modern building, which will encourage a thriving environment.”

The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2024.
