Members from the United Living Property Services team recently attended a ‘Meet the Employer’ event at the University of Wolverhampton to give students a taste of the vast range of career possibilities on offer in the world of construction.
The networking event provided students from the School of Architecture and the Built Environment. with an opportunity to meet with employers and discuss possible work placements, internships and graduate positions within the construction industry.
Izaz Hussain, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Stuart Benton, Commercial Manager, were on hand from United Living Property Services.
Stuart Benton, said: “The construction industry, like others, has felt the impact of the pandemic. We are also experiencing a significant skills shortage, so it was extremely encouraging to see so many students visiting our stand and taking a genuine interest in a career in construction and, in particular, Quantity Surveying.”
Izaz Hussain, said: “The Meet the Employer event was a great success, and it was a pleasure to meet so many students personally, allowing us to showcase the wealth of opportunity the construction industry offers”.
