Spreading some Christmas cheer in the local community

Members of our ULPS team in Wales have been busy spreading some Christmas cheer in the community by supporting a local nursery and charity shelter in Wales.

Station House Nursery suffered from a boiler leak that ruined the carpet. Members of the ULPS team helped to restore their carpet, as well as fixing a broken toilet, cleaning moss off a set steps on the school grounds, pressure cleaned the exterior and cut all the hedges.

For the SOS shelter, which supports families that are homeless or going through a difficult time the ULPS team collected food, toiletries, clothes and toys and donated it in time for Christmas. A collection point was set up at our offices, with support from our partners.

SOS shelters Wales have a massive impact on the local community, some of the services they provide are:

  • Food bank and food share for those in need.
  • The conversion of Portacabins making them fully off-grid and well furnished temporary homes for the homeless and those at risk or in sudden emergency situations.
  • Charity events and fundraisers for those in need.

Lindsay Dutton, Resident Liaison Officer, said: “Improving the communities in which we work is a core aim of our business. It was a real pleasure to help Station House Nursery and the SOS shelter as they so amazing work in the local community”.
