We are pleased to announce that United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS) has completed the...
A United Living team recently visited Hugh Christie High school in Kent to teach the students the hard and soft skills required for various jobs, including roles within the construction industry.
The workshop enlightened the students on different roles within the construction industry and how to approach job applications, starting with the job description down to the interview. Within the workshops, the team held teamwork and communication activities and mock interviews for the students.
The United Living team also connected with a local coffee company to teach the students a range of skills through a Barista training session. The session allowed the students to learn how to problem-solve, communicate and work as a team in a practical setting and gain real-life work experience.
The school lies within Tonbridge and Malling, where we are delivering the Social Housing Decarbonisation Demonstrator project on behalf of Clarion Housing.
Jacquie Noon, Social Value Manager, United Living, said: “It was a joy to see the students engage in these sessions and learn about future careers and prospects. The school were delighted with the training and felt that it gave the students a good insight into what to expect when they leave Sixth Form”.
