United Living Group is pleased to announce that it has signed the Armed Forces...
Great British Communications (GBC), part of United Living Group, has received the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award Employer Recognition Scheme ahead of Armed Forces Day, which takes place on Saturday, 25th June.
First launched in 2014, the scheme recognises employer support for the Armed Forces Covenant and defence personnel and encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
This latest award made by the Ministry of Defence, highlights the ongoing commitment GBC has made to support serving personnel, reservists, veterans, families, cadets, and the wider military community.
Marc Creasy, Managing Director of Great British Communications, stated, “It is a great honour for us to receive the Silver award, showing just how much we value those in the Armed Forces.”
“At GBC we are proud to be active and committed to employing and supporting a range of service workers, this award confirms our effort to be a strong support network for existing and potential ex-serving members of staff.”
Michael Corkhill, GBC, National HSE Manager, who served in the Armed Forces for 22 years, noted, “I am proud to be a part of a business that devotes so much time and energy into helping those within the Armed Forces community. I hope other businesses decide to follow suit as this is a truly life-changing cause to join.”
