United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services, and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Infrastructure Services, has been awarded a further contract as part of its works on the fuel pipework infrastructure for Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2 upgrade.
The Manchester Airport Storage and Hydrant Company (MASHCo) project, known as the Crosslink Project, focuses on enabling works for the installation of a second Pier at Terminal 2. Pier 2 will supply Terminal 2 with 10 new boarding gates, and the fuel pipeline installation will connect two existing lines, securing a steady flow of fuel and facilitating future expansion at the Terminal.
Manchester Airport Group (MAG) is upgrading the airport by providing additional infrastructure and new facilities to improve Terminal 2. As part of the new airport upgrades, MASHCo and Air bp are undertaking the design, while ULIS will be responsible for installing the fuel hydrant system to accommodate the new aircraft stand layouts.
ULIS was previously chosen as MASHCo’s partner to install new pipelines as part of the £1.3 billion Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, which aims to expand the existing Terminal 2 building. Given the success of this initial project stage, ULIS was selected for the further package of works.
Conor Bray, Managing Director at United Living Infrastructure Services, commented:
“We are delighted to have been awarded this additional package of works as part of the Manchester Airport Terminal 2 upgrade project.
“We look forward to strengthening our partnership with MASHCo to ensure the successful completion of the Crosslink Project and contribute towards the overall enhancement of Manchester Airport’s facilities.”
