United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Property Services (ULPS) has secured the Major Works Programme for Ray Lodge Estate regenerating four existing residential blocks for the London Borough of Redbridge. The contract is worth c. £5 million.
The main works within the Ray Lodge Estate, Woodford Green, will include changing the pitched roofs to flat roofs, which will enable easier maintenance and the installation of PV solar panels to increase sustainability. Further works to enhance the longevity and comfort of the property will include window replacement, balcony works, and asbestos removal.
The three-storey blocks consist of 182 flats which were built in the 1970s. ULPS’ activities will be the first major works to be carried out on the fabric of the building in the last 20 years.
John Farrell, Managing Director, United Living Property Services, commented:
“We are delighted to secure this contract to regenerate these properties for the London Borough of Redbridge which will help revitalise these homes for the residents of the Ray Lodge Estate in Woodford Green.
“As part of our work, we will liaise closely with residents and ensure the blocks meet the highest standards of building safety, whilst also lowering the carbon footprint of the buildings to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
“The United Living team looks forward to collaborating with the Borough and the community to deliver long-lasting benefits for all.”
