- Neil Armstrong
Neil started his career with the Kennedy Group in 1992, working his way up the business and being appointed Operations Director at the age of 26.
After the Kennedy Group was acquired by Alfred McAlpine PLC, Neil was appointed as Managing Director of one of the Group’s main divisions, where he implemented and successfully managed multiple business units with clients such as Northumbrian Water, Scottish Water, Transco (National Grid), Sottish Power and United Utilities.
Neil was a founder member and non-executive director of Core Utility Solutions (co-owned by Scottish Power and Alfred McAlpine PLC). In 2005, Neil acquired Fastflow Pipeline Services and quickly established the Fastflow Group, overseeing strategically planned diversification.
Through organic growth and a number of acquisitions, the Fastflow Group now operates in the energy, water, property development and property maintenance sector.
Neil holds UK-wide, long term relationships with blue chip customers and large-scale asset owners. He became CEO of United Living in June 2019 following the merger of Fastflow Group and United Living.

- Group Commercial Director
Tim joined United Living in April 2014 as Commercial Director. He is responsible for all commercial activities within the organisation. Tim has over 25 years’ experience of working within the construction industry.
Tim was previously Regional Commercial Director at one of the largest UK construction companies and has experience within the housing and extra care PFI markets as well as affordable housing, open market sales and planned and responsive maintenance.
- Stuart Hall
- Group Chief Financial Officer
Stuart has responsibility for managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, as well as overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
Stuart’s experience in dealing with institutional and private equity investors, raising debt and equity, mergers and acquisitions, will help guide the group in respect of business and financial planning aimed at underpinning our growth agenda.

Daren has more than 25 years of management experience delivering refurbishment, maintenance and development works in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the company, Daren was Regional Managing Director at Keepmoat Group.
- Steve Carden
- Managing Director (Construction South)
Steve was previously Director, Regional Businesses for John Sisk & Son and before that he was Managing Director, Construction and Housing at ROK Construction, and Managing Director, Building Division at Osborne. Steve is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
- Jo Jamieson
- Managing Director - North and Midlands
Jo Jamieson leads United Living’s North and Midlands teams and United City Living. She joined the business in June 2018, having previously worked for Wates Residential for 19 years.
