Worcester resident thanked through hospice donation
A resident of Oldbury Road, Worcester has been thanked for her assistance with the completion of a key utility connection for 24 new local homes.
Mrs Jelfs works as a volunteer for St Richard’s Hospice, and to boost support a cheque of £100 has been donated in recognition of her permission for works being carried out on her property. Flowers were also presented as a further thank you.
John Shuttleworth, Contracts Manager at United Living North, said: “An extensive sewer connection had to be constructed which involved 140 metres of excavation within the carriageway. This joins a main sewer in the driveway of a private residence owned by Mrs Jelfs and we are very appreciative and thankful to her for allowing us to complete this work.”
The development in Oldbury Road consists of 15 houses, eight apartments and a bungalow and is being delivered by United Living on behalf of Platform Housing Group.
St Richard’s Hospice cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days along with support for their loved ones
