Romorantin Place wins 'Project of the Year - under £3m' at EEM Ltd Building Communities Awards
United Living are celebrating after winning ‘Project of the Year - under £3m’ at the EEM Ltd Building Communities Awards for work with EMH Group at Romorantin Place, Nottingham.
The awards celebrate professionalism, excellence and innovation within both the housing and construction community. Work at Romorantin Place comprised of the extension, alteration and refurbishment of two existing vacant three storey sheltered housing blocks to create 16 new residential town houses alongside the refurbishment of an existing inhabited four storey block.
Richard Madeley, Land Development Director at United Living North, said: “We are extremely proud to have won an award for our work with EMH Group at Romorantin Place. This project has been challenging and through close partnership and communication with residents and key stakeholders we have delivered a significant improvement to the building and associated communal areas. To receive such high recognition is testament to the hard work put in by all involved.”
The varied scope of works included some asbestos removal, partial demolition works, new roof installations, brick and block work, render, partitioning, mechanical and electrical installations, decorations and floor finishes, balcony modifications, landscaping and associated external works.
