Elizabeth House Sheltered Housing Scheme

  • Project:Elizabeth House Sheltered Housing Scheme
  • Client:Viridian Housing & London Borough of Sutton
  • Contract value:£15m

We are working in partnership with Viridian Housing and London Borough of Sutton to build 131 new homes for senior living and vulnerable adults in Cheam Village, Sutton.

The scheme will provide 116 two bedroom apartments for affordable rent and shared ownership for residents of London Borough of Sutton. A further 15 two bedroom apartments will be constructed for private sale.

The apartments will be arranged across four blocks, all with lift access. Additional community facilities will include a communal sitting room, conservatory, kitchen and laundry which will all be accessible to residents.

Energy Efficiency

All the apartments will benefit from heating and hot water supplied from an efficient centralised energy centre. Solar photovoltaic panels will also ensure a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Resident Engagement

Construction of Elizabeth House will be phased to ensure the residents of Elizabeth House can remain in situ until the new homes are ready for occupation.
