United Living was appointed by Moat Housing to carry out the Estate Regeneration of the Pollards Hill Estate over the next 4-year period. Moat Housing has invested some £20.3m into improving the part of Pollards Hill Estate.

Overview

The estate has been deteriorating for some time through a combination of poor quality design and a lack of investment which has lead to a number of social, environmental and economic problems. United Living is working closely with Moat Housing to not only improve the living facilities of hundreds, but also to create a community that is involved, engaged & proud of where they live. This comprises 850 Wimpey non-traditional construction properties and the Development of 90 new homes, the works includes:

  • Kitchen and Bathroom replacements
  • Roofing
  • EWI
  • Windows & door replacement,
  • Boilers
  • K&Bs
  • Decanting and demolition of 4 blocks
  • Landscaping of 9 courtyards and communal open space
  • Refuse improvements
  • Paths and roads (to be developed in conjunction with residents).
