The Saltbrook Place project was a design and build development consisting of 58 ‘Move On’ accommodation units to replace the former centre that had fallen into disrepair. This award winning Turnkey project comprises of both apartments and bedsits, with inclusive communal facilities.
The site is situated on a steep incline which caused problems with surface water run-off. To help alleviate this problem, United Living re-designed the foundation approach. The project’s site entrance suffered from tight access due to the mains services and drainage covering the entrance. This required coordination by the project manager to alleviate any issues with logistics, including traffic management.
The Turnkey project comes with extensive bespoke furniture, fittings and equipment including; dog kennels, external garden furniture, gym equipment, catering kitchen, half sized basketball court, doctors room and audio visual installations. Through a new design strategy, the client achieved the desired BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.
