United Living have worked with Broxtowe Borough Council since 2003 on two fiveyear Decent Homes contracts, and have since been awarded contract extensions. In April 2015 we were awarded the next phase of works from 2015 - 2020. The works consist of new kitchens, bathrooms, disabled adaptations, asbestos removal, communal emergency provisions,heating replacements and roofing to 4,600 units of accommodation. These include mostly traditional low-rise buildings, which include houses, flats and bungalows.

  • 73% of trainees and apprentices from year 6 have been retained in full time employment
  • Sponsorship of local football team kit Awsworth Villa Football Club
  • Donation of funding for sculpture and planting materials
  • Annual sponsorship and support at the Broxtowe BC Charity Ball in conjunction with the Mayor of Broxtowe
  • Provision of work experience placements with Central College Nottingham
  • Tree planting events at various local schools to off set CO2 emissions in the local area
  • Donation of two benches at local supported housing schemes for the elderly
  • Refurbishment of local bowling green pavilion / football changing rooms
  • Organised and part sponsored a time capsule event at a local school Brookhill Leys Primary School in Eastwood.

United Living’s partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council has led to great success for the team as they have been recognised for their training provision at The Building Communities Awards 2017. Their success highlights how the strong partnership has made a significant difference to local communities across West Nottinghamshire, by providing a programme of work experience placements for local people.Through its partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council and Central College Nottingham, United Living has provided 100 student work placements across residential areas that are administered by Broxtowe Council’s Housing Modernisations Contract.
