Horden Bungalows is a four-phase refurbishment scheme within the Easington District in County Durham. The project is part of a three-year multi-million-pound investment for Accent Foundation and will to deliver a total of 544 properties across four phases.
The original project schedule was changed due to several factors which led to the postponed commencement date of the project. United Living worked with Accent Foundation to ensure planning approvals were granted as efficiently as possible so that work could be started as soon as possible upon its receipt.
Due to the need for extensive internal and external works as part of the refurbishment, we proposed replacing the existing properties with traditional new builds. The client agreed to this proposal due to the many benefits of the new builds including; significantly improved build quality, cost savings for the client, improved internal layout and improved resource efficiency.
